About the No.4 Mk I The No.4 Mk I came in just before the Second World War as a simpler, faster-to-build replacement for the No.1 Mk III. It has a heavier barrel that sticks out past the nose of the forestock and a rear aperture sight on the receiver. It was built in Britain, Canada, and the USA, and stayed in Commonwealth service well into the 1950s.
