About B grade
B-grade parts are made to the same spec as A-grade. Sometimes milling reveals a knot or check that couldn't be seen in the blank, so we sell those pieces at a discount. These are the same calibre as our A-grade parts but have a chip, a small void or a knot. We supply pictures of typical blemishes that lead us to grade them B. What you receive will be internally accurate but has a cosmetic flaw that can easily be fixed; we can't sell them as A grade, and we don't want to see the beautiful walnut go to waste.
About the Krag–Jørgensen
The Krag–Jørgensen was the US Army's first smokeless-powder bolt rifle, adopted in 1892 in .30-40 Krag and made at Springfield Armory. It is known for its distinctive side-loading magazine. It served in the Spanish–American War before the 1903 Springfield replaced it.
