These are the same caliber of stocks as our "A" grade stocks but have a chip or a small void or knot, we supplied pictures of typical blemishes that happen and we grade them to "B" grades. What you receive will be internally accurate but has a cosmetic flaw that can easily be fixed, but we cant sell them as our "A" grade, and we dont want to see the beautiful walnut go to waste.

I expected some issues buying a B grade stock. Two places along the left side had wood tear out along the top edge. Was enough wood that sanding the side down removed them. When the hand guards went on you the area looked perfect. The cutter went to deep at the rear of the stock on both sides. I always remove wood in those areas down to the level of the metal. Disappeared completely. The cutter went too deep on each side of the trigger guard so metal is slightly above the wood. One flaw I can’t completely hide but is acceptable. Fully assembled the rifle looks excellent. As for the interior of the stock goes that is excellent.
My first B grade stock and didn’t know what to expect. When I received the stock I did a thorough inspection. I found a sap inclusion. By the time I had finished sanding the stock it was reduced in size. Most people wouldn’t notice it but I know it’s there. Also I minor chip on the back in an area that I normally shape and would be below the chipped area. I plan to buy another B grade as I can make the defects disappear. I wouldn’t pay the A grade price for them but they are worth the reduced price I paid.
