About B grade
B-grade parts are made to the same spec as A-grade. Sometimes milling reveals a knot or check that couldn't be seen in the blank, so we sell those pieces at a discount. These are the same calibre as our A-grade parts but have a chip, a small void or a knot. We supply pictures of typical blemishes that lead us to grade them B. What you receive will be internally accurate but has a cosmetic flaw that can easily be fixed; we can't sell them as A grade, and we don't want to see the beautiful walnut go to waste.
About the Pattern 14
The Pattern 14 (P14) Enfield is a British service rifle in .303 British, made in the USA by Winchester, Remington and Eddystone during WWI. Built on a Mauser-style action, it served mainly as a sniper and reserve rifle and led directly to the US M1917.
