About the No.1 Mk V
The No.1 Mk V was a trials version of the SMLE, made at Enfield between 1922 and 1924. It moved the rear sight to an aperture on the receiver and added an extra band near the muzzle. It was never adopted for general issue and only about 20,000 were made, so it's a rare rifle today.
This is my second order and the shipping was fast everything was well packaged and the fitting is minimal. As a side note the stocks look great too, they were well matched to each other.

Beautiful wood.
I'm looking forward to the process of fitting it specifically to my rifle to bring back to life a very unique trials rifle.
