It was a useful starting point but some areas of stock were cut too deep and while you can remove wood you cant easily add it on . In particular I did not like the area around the magazine well which I could not get a satisfactory finish to . However all in all it will still be a fine rifle with a nice looking stock ( but it could have been better 0
Both pieces look great; quite obvious they are left on the larger side, and some cuts do need cleaning up, but that will all be taken care of during final finishing and after the stocking up fit.
What I’d really like, would be if you made a more target oriented buttstock for the Lee Enfield, like the ones Parker Hale used to make, in matching walnut.
